Install the robot on MT5

Install and configure TheConnector on MetaTrader 5.

Goal

Install the MT5 expert advisor and confirm the live connection from the client area.

1. Copy the files

  • Open the MT5 data folder
  • Copy the expert advisor to MQL5/Experts
  • Copy the include files to MQL5/Include

Show the Experts and Include folders.

2. Attach the robot

  • Drag TheConnector onto a chart
  • Enable algo trading
  • Fill ACCOUNT, PRIVATEKEY, HOST and PORT

Show the common tab and the key connection parameters.

3. Validate the status

  • Check the chart status panel
  • Check the account becomes Live in the client area
