Two ways to survive an announcement, not one

Blocking new entries around a release is the easy half. The hard half is the position you already hold when the number lands. TheConnector does both, and you configure them independently — you can close before the release without blocking entries, or block entries without closing anything.

Entry blocking in a window you choose, before and after the release Automatic close before the release, with trading allowed again afterwards Impact levels you tick yourself: low, moderate, high Matched on the currencies that make up your symbol, not on a hand-typed list

Blocking entries, and closing before the release

The two behaviours have their own windows. Entry blocking refuses new orders for a number of minutes before and after the announcement. Automatic closing flattens the affected positions ahead of it and lets trading resume once the window has passed. You can enable one, the other, or both.

Separate minutes before and after for each of the two behaviours

By default the automatic close only touches the positions the connector opened; including your manual positions is an explicit choice

The impact levels you tick apply identically to blocking, to closing, and to what the robot displays

Which announcements concern your symbol

The robot reads the base and quote currencies your broker declares for the symbol, and only stops on announcements affecting one of them. A US release pauses EURUSD and XAUUSD; it does not pause EURGBP. When the broker declares nothing usable, the robot falls back to reading the currency pair from the symbol name.

No list of pairs to maintain by hand — the match is made on the symbol as your broker names it

You can still narrow it further to a chosen set of currencies

The calendar is synchronised for you, several times a day — nothing to import

Why we built it inside the robot

A filter that only runs on the server can refuse a signal, but it cannot close a position you are already holding when liquidity thins out. Putting the calendar in the robot means the protection keeps working on a position opened yesterday, or opened by hand, whether or not any signal arrives.

Works on positions opened before the filter was switched on

Available on MT4, MT5 and cTrader, on the free Basic tier

It filters execution; it does not predict the outcome of an announcement

अक्सर पूछे जाने वाले प्रश्न।

Do I have to import an economic calendar?
No. The calendar is synchronised on our side several times a day and pushed to your robot. You only choose the impact levels, the window in minutes, and optionally a set of currencies.
Will it close a position I opened myself?
Only if you ask for it. By default the automatic close is limited to the positions the connector opened. Extending it to your manually opened positions is a separate setting you turn on yourself.
Can I block entries without closing anything?
Yes. The two behaviours are independent, with their own on-off switch and their own window. Blocking without closing is the most common setup; closing without blocking is also possible.
Does the filter guarantee I avoid slippage?
No, and we do not claim it does. It refuses entries and closes positions in the window you configured; the fill you get on that closing order still depends on your broker and on market conditions. It is an execution filter, not a guarantee.
