Recovery: every setting

Recovery manages the exit of a losing position with a basket of orders. Read what each setting does before switching it on.

What it is

Recovery manages the exit of a losing position with a basket of orders, instead of letting the stop close it. It does not remove risk: market risk stays whole, and a basket can lose more than the trade it was meant to save. This page describes each setting; it is not advice to switch it on.

Where to find it

My accounts > Robot settings > Recovery tab. Nothing is armed until you turn it on.

1. Scope

• Scope decides what Recovery may arm on: the whole account, or only the pairs you list.
• On the chosen scope, EVERY position is managed — including the ones you opened by hand. Never those of another robot.
• For a first run, choose a single pair.

2. Strategy and level

• Strategy — how the robot recovers: Dual Grid, Zone Recovery or Martingale.
• Level — Careful, Balanced or Aggressive set the whole basket mechanism for you. Custom unlocks the advanced settings.

3. The circuit breaker

• Max loss is your ONLY automatic protection: when a basket reaches this loss (% of reference equity), everything is closed and the loss is taken.
• It is mandatory, and capped at 50%.
• It must stay above the trigger below.

4. The trigger

• Trigger — floating loss is the level from which Recovery arms. Below it, your TradingView stops and targets stay in charge.
• Measured on decides whether the trigger watches the whole account or each pair separately.
• Permanent recovery off (recommended) stops Recovery after a successful recovery. On, it stays armed and re-arms. The circuit breaker always cuts.

5. Advanced settings (Custom level only)

• Max basket depth — how many orders a basket may hold. Ten at most.
• Lot multiplier — each new order is this multiple of the previous one. 1.0 keeps constant lots, 1.5 is the maximum.
• Max cumulative lots — the absolute cap on the basket's lots. Zero applies the robot's careful cap; it never means unlimited.
• Basket exit target — the basket closes whole at this net gain, as a percentage of equity.
• Partial close at — the minimum floating gain before funding a partial close.
• Grid step — the minimum spacing between two orders of the basket.
• Regime adaptation — Auto widens the step when the market is volatile; Fixed keeps it constant.
• Margin/equity floor — the robot stops adding orders when free margin falls below this share of equity.
• Per-pair profiles — fine settings per symbol, in JSON. Optional.
• Manual exit closes every Recovery basket on the account at once. Your normal positions are untouched.
