Art. 6 GDPR

Purposes and legal bases

Account and authentication

Creating and managing the user account, two-factor authentication and sessions. Data: name, email, hashed password and session history. Legal basis: user request to access the service and legitimate interest in securing accounts.

Connected trading service

Receiving TradingView webhooks, preparing routing to MT4, MT5 and cTrader, supervising robots and managing trading accounts during pre-launch tests. Data: account codes, access keys, order logs and risk parameters. Legal basis: user request to test the service and legitimate interest in reliability and security.

Support, security and pre-launch operations

Support tickets, contact requests, security logs and anti-abuse signals are processed to answer users, protect the service and improve reliability. Public paid subscriptions are not open during pre-launch; payment data will only be processed if paid plans open later and after the legal documentation is updated.

Audience and product measurement

The public site records first-party, cookie-free events such as page views, CTA clicks, language changes, outbound clicks, form starts and outcomes, conversion goals, scroll depth, Core Web Vitals, JavaScript errors and 404 pages. Legal basis: legitimate interest in understanding public-site performance, improving the onboarding path and protecting the service without advertising cookies.

Art. 5.1.e GDPR

Retention periods

Account data is retained while the account is active, then generally 3 years after closure. Security and authentication logs are generally kept for 1 year. Public traffic and first-party marketing events are kept for up to 180 days. Support tickets, contact forms and order execution logs are generally kept for 3 years after closure.

Art. 28 GDPR

Recipients and processors

Access is limited to authorized TheConnector staff for service operation, support and maintenance. Transactional emails are sent through the configured mail service. No public payment processor is active for paid subscriptions during pre-launch.

Art. 44-49 GDPR

Transfers outside the European Union

Some technical providers may process data outside the European Union. Where required, transfers must be framed by appropriate safeguards. If a payment provider is enabled later, this page will be updated before paid subscriptions open.

Art. 15-22 GDPR

Your rights

You may request access, rectification, erasure, restriction, portability and objection where GDPR allows it. You may withdraw consent at any time for processing based on consent. Under French law, you may also provide instructions about your data after death.

To exercise your rights, email support@theconnector.fr and clearly state the right you wish to exercise. A proof of identity may be requested. We reply within one month, extendable by two additional months for complex requests.

Art. 77 GDPR

Complaint to the supervisory authority

If you believe your rights are not respected, you may lodge a complaint with the CNIL, the French supervisory authority. Before contacting the CNIL, we encourage you to contact us so we can try to resolve the matter amicably.

Art. 6.1.b GDPR

Browser extension (TheConnector Relay)

TheConnector Relay is an optional browser extension for Chrome, Edge and Firefox. Installed and configured by you, it reads a single thing on the TradingView chart page: the text of the pop-up displayed when one of your alerts fires. It does not read your TradingView account, your passwords or your browsing history, and it is active on no other website.

What the extension keeps stays in your browser, on your device: the webhook address and the access key you entered, the alerts still waiting to be sent, a fingerprint of the alerts already relayed so the same one is never sent twice, and the last alerts seen with their outcome, shown in the extension window. TheConnector has no access to this local storage; removing the extension erases it.

The only address the extension contacts is the TheConnector webhook endpoint, to which it sends the alert text with your access key so that the alert reaches your account. Nothing goes to a third party: no advertising, no audience measurement, no resale of data. A relayed alert then follows the same rules as an alert sent by TradingView itself, with the retention periods described above. The legal basis is the performance of the contract at your request, Art. 6.1.b GDPR. The Chrome Web Store and addons.mozilla.org distribute the extension under their own policies, and TheConnector receives no personal data from them.

Art. 82 Loi I&L

Cookies and trackers

TheConnector uses technical cookies required for the service, such as authentication session cookies, anti-CSRF protection and language preference. The site does not use advertising cookies. Analytics tools may be enabled depending on configuration; when they are, their use is detailed in the cookie policy and consent banner.

Art. 32 GDPR

Data security

TheConnector implements appropriate measures including encrypted communications, password hashing, access controls, sensitive event logging and optional two-factor authentication. In case of a personal data breach posing risk, TheConnector will notify the CNIL within 72 hours and notify affected users when required.
